For her actual birthday (um…almost a month ago. heh.), Monkey and I headed out to the Museum of Natural History to look at bones and butterflies.
She LOVED the dinosaurs. We spent a good 45 minutes running from one set of bones to the next.
The butterfly conservatory was open, so we got to walk around and sweat while butterflies bumped into us. We found this HUGE moth sleeping on a tree.
She also loved the spooky squid and whale exhibit. It was too dark for a good photo, though. I totally expected her to be scared by it, but, no. She kept running up to it to look at it again and again. Brave little monkey.
Afterwards, we headed over to Alice’s Teacup for some fancy finger sammiches and yummy scones. Monkey got to wear some fairy wings and was sprinkled with fairy dust. Almost a month later, I’m still finding fairy dust on her stuff.
And, that ended her four-day-long birthday extravaganza. Happy third, Prettymonkey!
